I like window treatments and window shades that can be opened all the way or closed all the way. I like the sun to shine in throughout the day, but I like the privacy at night when the lights are on inside the house. I do not want anyone outside to see what is going on inside. I have neighbors that leave their blinds open, and you can see them from the street just walking by. They are cool with that. I am not.
